Wrexham & Shropshire lambs at Shropshire Show
Shropshire residents are in for a treat at the Shropshire County Show on the 26th and 27th June as Wrexham & Shropshire give people the chance to win a pair of first class return tickets to London if they can guess the weight of two lambs named after the local rail company.
The competition is being run as part of Wrexham & Shropshire’s sponsorship of the show’s food festival. Wrexham & Shropshire is the only rail company to offer a full catering service on board every train, providing a menu of locally sourced ingredients freshly prepared on board. The company will be at the festival over the last weekend in June where staff will be on hand to offer tasters of the popular on board menu.
Charlotte Price, Wrexham & Shropshire’s Safety, Quality and Environment Manager, who is bringing along her two lambs, Wrexham and Shropshire, for the competition, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the food festival as a number of our dishes are sourced locally in Shropshire and we’re always keen to support local suppliers. This will be Wrexham and Shropshire’s first outing in public so make sure you don’t miss the chance to join in the competition – they’re really excited to meet their fans!"
Wrexham & Shropshire runs direct between Wrexham, Shropshire, the West Midlands and London Marylebone. Whether it’s a day trip to take in the museums and sights of London or a mini-break, the winner of the two first class tickets will travel to London in the hands of Wrexham & Shropshire’s first class stewards. The winner will also get a chance to sample Wrexham & Shropshire’s popular dishes with a complimentary first class meal.
