Shropshire Restaurants Still Feature in Top 50
Ludlow in South Shropshire still retains its status as a foodie paradise with two of the town's restaurants featured in the 2010 Good Food Guide.
Mr Underhill's and La Becasse in Ludlow both feature within the list of the top 50 restaurants in the UK.
Mr Underhill's, a veteran entry into the guide having featured within it for the past 10 years is now joined by Shropshire newcomer La Becasse who also features within the 2010 guide.
Listed alongside the likes of top celebrity chef's Heston Blumental and Gordon Ramsay, Mr Underhill's proprietors Chris and Judy Bradley and Will Holland head chef at La Becasse are all thrilled to be included within the guide which is described by Gary Rhodes as "a renowned quality guide".
Following the awarding of a Michelin star to La Becasse earlier this year, Ludlow is now once again home to two Michelin starred restaurants but it's not just restaurants who give Ludlow its food and drink reputation with the town home to a host of speciality food and drink shops, independent butchers and bakers and regular local produce markets.
Ludlow'[s very own The Ludlow Food Centre near Ludlow is also highlighting the areas food and drink product after having recently been included within the Daily Telegraph's top 50 farm shops and placed within The Times Places to eat in England survey.
