Two new ventures have been introduced for this year’s Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival – a new Park and Ride site and an official tent camp site making it easier to get to and stay at the festival throughout the weekend.

The Festival itself has opted to set up its official Park and Ride site for this year’s event – from Friday, September 10, to Sunday, September 12, at Burway Farm, right next door to Ludlow Town Football Club – which will host the official camp site.

Festival chairman Phil Maile said, “We hope the new Park and Ride site at the northern end of Ludlow will work well. We will certainly ensure that it is well signposted. We will be charging £4 per car to park and there will be a regular bus service into the town centre.”

Ludlow Town FC will open the camp site on Thursday, September 9. Their level grass pitches will be used for tents and there is hard standing for campers’ cars. In addition of tent pitches and car parking the club will offer a 24 hour shower and toilet block and their bars will be open in the evening from 6pm.

Full English breakfast will be served from 7.30am to 11am from £4.50 a head (Under 5s from £2.50). An evening buffet meal will be available, including a children’s menu, served from 6.30pm to 9pm, starting at £6.50 a head (children from £3.50).

It will cost £12 a night for tents (2 nights from £20 and 3 nights for £30). Booking in advance is strongly advised and there are just two restrictions – no dogs and no barbecues. Please note that bookings cannot be accepted from caravans and camper vans.

To reserve a place please complete a booking form as no place can be guaranteed unless booked and paid for in advance. The club can be contacted on 01584 876000.
