Marmalade Makers Scoop International Awards for 10th Year in a Row
Ludlow Food Centre’s marmalade makers are celebrating for the tenth year in a row after scooping another three awards at this year’s Dalemain Marmalade Awards.

‘Flocks of Words’- at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Egg-citing things are happening at Severn Valley Country Park this Easter
Shropshire Council rangers are having an egg-cellent time preparing for all the fun activities happening this Easter at Severn Valley Country Park. The Easter Bunny will be joining us for a 2.5km fun run; there’ll be self-led trail and story time with The Highway Rat; children can get gardening and create sun catchers and as well as having a go at a bush tucker trial.

Easter Trails, Egg Dancing, Easter Bonnet Parade and Baby Chicks at Blists Hill Victorian Town
Join the residents at Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge in Shropshire as they celebrate Easter in traditional Victorian style with Egg Dancing, plus an Easter bunny trail, chocolate egg making demonstration, Easter Bonnet Parade and a chance to see baby chicks hatching. Events will vary day-to-day between Friday, 30th and Sunday 15th April.

Hedgehog Footprint Tunnels at The Mere in Ellesmere
Shropshire Council Rangers at The Mere in Ellesmere are delighted to be welcoming Stuart Edmunds from The Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Chairman of The Shropshire Mammal Group, and Julie Burroughs a dedicated Volunteer from the Shelter Wildlife Together programme, to give a demonstration on how to make a Hedgehog footprint tunnel for your garden.

Local artist exhibiting at Ludlow Food Centre donates 10% of earnings to charity
Local Shropshire artist Meg Hawkins has been exhibiting her work in Ludlow Food Centre’s gift shop gallery space since November 2017. Since May 2016 Ludlow Food Centre have set up a bi-monthly local artist’s space in their gift shop for them to sell their products. Ludlow Food Centre take no commission for any of the products sold, all they ask is that 10% of the artist’s takings get donated to their charity of the year.

Shropshire Way 80K postponed due to weather
Weather called to a halt to the Shropshire Way 80K, mass participation walk this weekend. The staff at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre were forced to postpone the event, which takes in some of the finest parts of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, due to the weather warnings for snow, wind and ice.

Shropshire Way 80K to set off this weekend!
Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms has launched their new mass participation 50 mile walk and hundreds of competitors are booked to join in this Saturday. Walkers and runners will arrive in Craven Arms from miles around for this inaugural event.

New free Exhibition Schooling Good Taste, The Coalbrookdale School of Art, 1856-1924 at Coalbrookdae
A new free exhibition at the Coalbrookdale Gallery, adjacent to Enginuity near Ironbridge, will explore the story of the Coalbrookdale School of Art, the artists and the artwork that came out of the school. Opening on Wednesday, 21st March, Schooling Good Taste - The Coalbrookdale School of Art, 1856-1924 can be viewed Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm, until Friday, 21st December.
