Caravan Park tunes up for Shrewsbury summer pop concerts
A five star caravan park on the edge of Shrewsbury is already busy taking bookings from caravanners and motorhome owners who will be attending pop concerts in the town this summer.
Oxon Hall Touring Park, which is open all year round, enjoyed a bumper weekend of bookings during last year's Summer Sessions and all the signs are pointing to repeat performance in July.
The park is also reporting big demand for pitches for three major summer events, The 80's concert in the Quarry on 9th July, Shrewsbury Flower Show on August 13-14 and Shrewsbury Steam Rally on August 29 and 30.
"Demand for Shrewsbury Flower Show, in particular, has been astounding this year," said Edward Goddard, managing director of Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure, which owns Oxon Hall Touring Park. "My advice to anyone wishing to stay at the park over the flower show, steam rally and Summer Sessions weekends is to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
"Caravanners like the quality, parkland location of Oxon on the edge of Shrewsbury. The big advantage the park has is that it is just a short walk from the town's Park and Ride bus service, which allows caravan and motorhome owners to travel into town and have a few drinks without worrying about driving back."
Due to the continued weakness of Sterling against the Euro and other currencies, Mr Goddard expects to see even more British people spending their holidays in Britain this year.
Oxon Hall Touring Park can accommodate 100 touring caravans, 60 caravan holiday homes and has special pitches for recreational vehicles (RVs). For further information Tel: 01743 340868 or visit www.morris-leisure.co.uk.
